Gerald has been a treasured fixture on the Kansas City Jazz scene since the 1980s. He has played with countless jazz luminaries including Gary Foster, Marilyn Maye, Karrin Allyson, and KC Jazz Legend Jay McShann. Gerald has been featured on many jazz recordings including those by Russ Long and the excellent Wesport Art Ensemble. This recording, however, is Gerald’s first release leading a group since his CD “Three Sides” was recorded in 1998. This recording is a mix of Gerald’s new and old compositions along with a few composition contributions from stellar guitarist Danny Embrey.
