Wire Town is a band of Kansas City jazz veterans. Danny Embrey and Rod Fleeman are two of the most respected jazz guitarists of their generation. Both have toured the world with some of the finest jazz musicians ever Gerald Spaits has played with everyone who is anyone in Kansas City Jazz in the last 40 years. While a generation younger than his bandmates, Brian Steever is clearly in his element with this group. Riffin' On Grand is the second release by Wire Town and the first to feature the current performing lineup with Brian Steever on drums. All of the members of the group are composers, and tunes from each are included in this wide ranging release. These tracks were captured live at Green Lady Lounge on Sunday, May 12, 2024.
